About
So here’s my story…
I was born in the Tar Heel state of North Carolina. And even though I spent the first few years of my life there (in the newly-termed IBX), I remember nothing but the moving truck that took me to Georgia’s third capital where I lived with my mom, grandparents, a dog (Rusty), and a handful of cats (handful = too many to name over the years).
In school, I played the clarinet, read a lot of books, and spent part of the summer of ‘96 in France (where I drank Cognac at the age of 16 and fell in love with French food and culture). After graduating from high school, I went to Georgia Tech (the only college that I applied to… good thing I got in), where I continued to play the clarinet, spent a lot of time in Architecture studio, and met my husband. After Tech, I tried to postpone my plunge into the real world and decided to go to grad school at Georgia State.
Two degrees and many student loans later, I now work in a field unrelated to either. I am definitely a homebody, but I do find time to socialize with friends at team trivia, go to APWBWGTTD gatherings, and go out to eat at restaurants (a lot). My husband and I live in a 60+ year old house with a soon-to-be-white picket fence. We have two “babies”… our Siamese-mix cat Kozmo and our German Shepherd-mix dog Barley. And… after years of thinking I was just an American mutt (Swiss, English, etc), I recently found out that I am in fact half Asian. Korean to be exact. Maybe that explains my love for Jon and Kate Plus 8?
